I have been a licensed Kansas attorney since 1974, first serving as a judge advocate with the United States Air Force, and then starting my private law practice in Topeka in 1978. I have long maintained a general civil practice with the focus being on bankruptcy cases and workers compensation.
Now, after 41 years as a lawyer, I have decided to enter semi-retirement from the active practice of law at the end of 2015. I will no longer accept new bankruptcy cases after October 1, 2015. At the present time, I am not accepting any other types of cases or matters.
To those of you who are existing clients, you may be assured that I will continue to provide legal services on each of your cases until your matter is fully concluded. Some of you have filed Chapter 13 bankruptcies, which means that your case will run for three to five years. I will continue to provide you with whatever legal services are needed to see your case through to conclusion.
My office will continue to be located in Shadow Wood Office Park at 5897 SW 29th Street, in Topeka. If you need to meet with me in person about the progress of your case, I will be available, as I have always been, to see you at my office at your convenience and by appointment. You may contact me through my web site by clicking on the contact us link and sending me an email, or you may call me at my office number. If I am not available, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Going forward, there will be no changes in the level of legal services that you have expected to receive and that I have provided for these many years. If you are not an existing client, but are in need of legal services, I am available to make recommendations and referrals to qualified attorneys in the Topeka area who will be able to handle your matter.
I have enjoyed the practice of law for many years now, and that has not changed. However, it is time for me to move on to other interests, and that is why I have made this decision. Please contact me if you have any questions.
